For more than fifty years, the Longboat Island Chapel, an interfaith church, has offered its services to persons throughout the world for marriage, commitment services, and renewal of vows as well as ceremonies of blessing. The Chapel has a beautiful sanctuary and an intimate small chapel for indoor weddings. Outdoor weddings are held at the spectacular gazebo in our tropical garden. The Chapel is also able to host wedding receptions in our newly refurbished Shook Fellowship Hall.
The option of three wedding venues, an exceptional tropical campus and a dedicated, credentialed staff all combine to make the Longboat Island Chapel the perfect location for your special wedding day. It will be our great pleasure if you would join us among nature’s beauty as you celebrate your sacred day with us.
Wedding Packages
Main Sanctuary Wedding Package
The Chapel’s beautiful Main Sanctuary exudes a feeling of “Island Elegance”. The chancel area has recently been renovated with sweeping steps and an elegant bamboo floor that provides a wonderful setting for your vows. The Main Sanctuary provides seating for up to 250 guests.
Garden Wedding Package
The Chapel’s garden offers a spectacular setting for your wedding. Our garden is a tropical paradise, with a pristine gazebo nestled in the middle of the lush foliage. Brick pathways interconnect the garden and lead you to the gazebo and the shores of Sarasota Bay. When one is in the garden, you will feel the tranquility and peace that is present.
Prayer Chapel Wedding Package
If your desire is to have a small and very intimate wedding venue for your special day, the Prayer Chapel provides the perfect setting. The Prayer Chapel can accommodate up to fifteen of your closest family and friends.
